Team KidzArt
Kathy Joshi, Executive Director, graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s in Mathematical Science. She worked several years in the pharmaceutical industry. She always loved art, but had never had any formal training. After staying at home with her son for three years, she decided to change her career and her life.
“It’s such a cliché, but after having my son, everything changed. Climbing the corporate ladder was soon replaced with climbing the ropes of the swing-set chasing after my son; the latter was definitely more fun.”
Kathy is thrilled to be bringing KidzArt not only to the kids of Central Florida, but to all of its citizens who always had a curiosity about arts, but never had the chance to experience it.
“I can’t wait to start making a difference in a child’s life and I look forward to serving my community, those that are young and those that are Young at HeArts.”
Melanie Climo, Business Development Manager, is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. After working several years in the corporate world, she wanted to become more involved in the community and decided to make a career change. “When I learned about the KidzArt program and its philosophy, I couldn’t wait to get involved! I’ve always had an appreciation for art and creativity and thought this would be an excellent opportunity to do something I love while having a positive impact on others”. In her spare time, Melanie enjoys “trying” new recipes, running, traveling, playing with her dog Maggie and spending quality time with family and friends."
